Visitors

We encourage you to visit with your friend or loved one while he or she is in the hospital. Your visit is an important part of patient healing and recovery. To facilitate our patients’ best care and a pleasant visit for you, we offer these resources and guidelines for visitors.

For the comfort and safety of our patients, visitors should not overcrowd patient rooms. As a general rule, two visitors are allowed in a patient’s room at one time. We strongly encourage visitors to keep visiting times short (up to 30 minutes) but meaningful.

Visits may be limited or restricted in certain units or situations, including infection control limitations, disruptive behavior of visitors, patient or roommate, or the need for patient rest or privacy. All of these circumstances may be considered clinically reasonable and necessary in the best interest of patient care, safety, and well-being.

Children

We understand the importance of having family members nearby during times of illness. However, in the best interest of patients and children’s health and safety, it is hospital policy that children under 12 are not allowed to visit. Please ask the nurse to have the house supervisor come to talk with you for questions or special circumstances.

CONTACT A PATIENT

You may contact a patient by telephone by using the hospital’s main number, 229-276-3100, and asking for his/her room number.

Or you may EMAIL a patient using the form below. All messages are printed in one of three design formats from which you can choose: Thinking of You, Get Well Soon, or Congratulations. Email messages are printed and hand-delivered to patients during normal business hours by our volunteers.
