Auxiliary services
At Crisp Regional, our volunteers are important members of our care and services teams. Volunteers dedicate their time to many important activities, directly and positively impacting both patients and staff. By volunteering, you are not only providing a valuable service, but you are also giving a precious gift to our community – your time. Becoming a part of our care team will make a difference in people’s lives, including your own.
Through fundraising efforts, jewelry sales, and gift shop sales, the Auxiliary supports many worthy projects at Crisp Regional, including a $30,000 pledge to the Cancer Center campaign and a recent gift of $9,000 to the Birthing Center. Other projects sponsored and funded by the Auxiliary include:
- Lights of Love
- Donation to Hospice for Alzheimer’s Tour
- Artwork for pediatrician’s office
- Red wagons for pediatrics
- Ministry for Hospital
Volunteer Assignments
You can see our volunteers throughout the hospital, some with patient interaction and others with limited patient contact. They serve in many non-medical roles and provide comfort and support to patients, family members, visitors, and staff. They deliver newspapers to patients, transport specimens to the lab, greet visitors, and run miscellaneous errands. Whether serving at our information desks, in our gift shop, or as a volunteer chaplain, they brighten days and lives. There are many opportunities to serve, whether you have only a few hours or wish to volunteer more time. Please review the relevant qualifications and submit the application form available here.
Volunteer Opportunities
If you are 18 years of age or older and are considering becoming a hospital volunteer, we request that you:
- Be able to devote four hours per week for a
minimum of six months. - Be willing to follow CDC recommendations for
hospital volunteers, which include an immunization
record (if born after 1957), an annual flu shot and
an annual TB test. - Submit personal references and have a background
check.
