BLACKSHEAR Retirement Villas

Blackshear is a 12-suite personal care community with 24-hour watchful oversight. All suites open into our garden atrium. Our beautiful bird aviary, complete with Society Finches, provides respite and relaxation for residents and family alike.

Our staff of caregivers, including certified nursing assistants (CNAs), helps residents with daily living activities, provides three meals a day, and coordinates numerous activities to engage and enlighten residents.

We welcome residents who can still manage most of their own needs, such as getting dressed, walking to meals, and more. We do not provide adult daycare; rather, all of our residents live here.

Help is available for daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, meals, and housekeeping, depending on individual needs.

A vast array of activities includes bingo games, shopping trips; birthday celebrations; religious programs; exercise programs; singing and piano, crafts, eating at area restaurants, field trips to shop or visit out-of-town destinations, visits to the library or local hair salon; and more. We can also arrange for transportation to doctor’s appointments if the family is unable to do so.
